Dr. Reid
Dr. Reid graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary
Medicine in 1999. She owned a thoroughbred racetrack practice for 14 years. She has been practicing small animal medicine for 4 years and relocated to Delaware from Brooklyn to pursue her dream of owning her own small animal practice. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Medical Association of New York City, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care. She was the recipient of the 2006 Borst Leadership Endowment and served as the public relations director of the IVMA from 2007-2009. She is currently pursuing an MBA at Hofstra University Zarb School of Business in New York.

Chelsea Jackson
Chelsea worked with Dr. Reid prior to helping her prepare for the opening of Peninsula Veterinary Services in May of 2017. Her creativity and leadership skills have greatly contributed to the expansion and success of the practice. Chelsea is responsible for business operations including: Client relations, human resources, finance, accounting, maintaining inventory and a wide variety of other responsibilities. Her passion for ensuring a positive work environment and practice for both employees and clients fuels the success of our practice’s goals. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading books, trying new restaurants, and spending time outdoors.

Amber Daisey 2017
Amber joined the practice in 2017 and received her Veterinary Assistant Certification in 2018. Growing up, she had always wanted to work in this field and is a natural fit. She is a huge animal enthusiast who currently owns 4 dogs: Max, Bella, Diesel and Scooby. She also has a cat, Puddin, and a guinea pig comically named Miss Piggy.

Dr. Mahan
Dr. Mahan joined our team with a strong commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care. Originally a Delaware native, Dr. Mahan earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Delaware and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 from St. George’s University, completing her clinical training at the University of Tennessee. With extensive experience in both private practice and shelter medicine, Dr. Mahan has worked in various states serving different communities. She has developed a special interest in geriatric care, with a focus on helping senior pets remain comfortable, healthy and happy as they age.
Outside of veterinary practice, she enjoys staying active through regular workouts, spending quality time with her family and caring for her diverse group of pets-- including a Russian tortoise, smooth-sided toad, two dogs and a number of cats.
